David Calafrancesco was explaining to Geoff Green in a message:

I have done that and the ISAPNPT.OS2 driver is installed but I am still
unable to share or connect drives to or from the other computer :( It is
looking more and more like I will have to delete everything and do a complete
installation from scratch :(
Well I have just done a complete re-install and right at the end after
configuring everything it came back with the error, "Network adapters and
protocol services failed with error number 1608". When I looked that up it
says, "Mode is unable to set the readback function for the diskette". And
didn't install any networking programs at all :( So now I don't even have my
Internet access via modem. So it looks like I have to go back to my backup. I
did the re-install in jumper mode on the lan card so that obviously isn't the
problem.
