My house is furnished with stuff I got from garage sales and auctions.
One of my hobbies is collecting shaped avon bottles. I usually find
these at such places. I have also found a group of stores called Value
Village that would fit your requirments very well. They buy donated
stuff from charities like the Diabetes association, then sell them at
the stores. So part of the money goes back to charity, as well as
helping to save landfills. In addition, unlike some amity or goodwill
stores, these ones have clean light stores with changerooms, and an
exchange policy which is usually unheard of for secondhand clothing. I
have also even found new clothes that were donated from store manicans.
The price is right, and I get new clothes.
I also have my own garage sale at least once per year. perhaps I will
let you know when the next one is. Then you can come and tell me what
to do with all the stuff I can't find that second use for.
