I've recently been doing some job hunting myself, and you're right, there 
isn't an overwhelming job market for Delphi programmers, though I found it to 
be much better than the market was a year ago. On the plus side, though, your 
base of competition for such a job is much lower also, which greatly improves 
your chances of getting a particular Delphi job. The last time I looked for a 
job (several years ago) no one wanted to look at me because of the lack of a 
'formal' education. This year, still with no education, I got a *very* high 
percentage of callbacks for Delphi programming jobs.
Something I recommend that will help - if you've written any good programs in 
Delphi, let people know where to download them, and take copis on your 
interviews.
