I'll try that, looks better than what I was trying before,

set os2_shell=d:\os2\cmd.exe /k d:\os2init.cmd
                               ^
                                watch the spaces! :-)

However, I am currently working around it writing a *.cmd file, then
spawning cmd.exe /c *.cmd.  Kinda kludgy, so I like your idea better.
