*DEFINITELY* start with OS/2. I can't emphasise that enough. I really
regret all the time spent under DOS struggling with memory models, segments
and offsets, and so on, and regretting the fact that my programs couldn't
start other programs running in the background. OS/2 is a much nicer
learning environment.
Also OS/2 has lots of nice extras like multithreading and a decent API.
Andrew.
