subject: too many files

PE> Hello All!

PE> I think the problem with squish might be I've got too many areas now. It

PE> can't really be a problem with a message area per se, because if I write

PE> a message in TOBRUK_TEST (121 messages), and then go "squish out

 PE> squash -ftobruk_test", I get a TRAP D. This is the symptom I
get for all

PE> areas. I'd suspect insufficient file handles or similar. Pretty hard to

PE> tell with a TRAP D and no source code. :-( BFN.

How about this as a work around:

1. set up another point number (say .9)

2. use Squish to split up all inbound mail without tossing to the message

   base.

3. use Tobruk to process mail for .9 and toss to the message base.

This would require a little stuffing around with configuration files but
not too much. It also has several advantages:

- we stop getting grunged packets!!!

- you get your message bases updated

- you get to test Tobruk in a real life situation
