I wrote a file find utility in assembly a while back.  You are welcome
to the source code if you like.  It used only 16 bit system calls as
that was all that I had references to at the time, but the concepts are
the same. The 32 bit routines just pushes the parameters onto the stack
in the reverse order, and has the caller clean up the stack instead of
the called routine.  If you want the code, let me know and I will upload
it to my local BBS and give you the phone number.
