        I checked this out on my system and altho I have 5 numbers
listed in the basic display, (1 primary and 4 secondary) when I hit the
down arrow I see only the primary phone number.  I have never used that
down arrow but rather use the TAB key to go to the secondary numbers.
Do you have letters in the secondary numbers or only in the down arrow
display? In either case use your mouse or the tab key to move to the
line with the unwanted characters and use the DEL key to delete the
unwanted characters.  I have never understood what the purpose of the
down arrow was...  Never used it...
