Thank you all Dear Friends for helping.

After making many installation floppies on many floppy drives one
combination worked.  An old dual floppy drive (3.5"/5.25") helped me to
install eCS 1.2 from an SCSI CD-ROM drive.  I do have other problems with
my Ethernet connection, but that is for another message and perhaps for
another group.
