It has long been speculated that Apple might go to IBM for all of its chips, especially since apparently Moto was loosing interest anyway. It had enough problems without worrying about the ever shrinking Apple. The story appearing here seems suspect to me. The information seems to be coming from "contacts" in Taiwan. That in itself has a certain smell to it. The fact is the big rumor going the rounds is that Apple is thinking of going to Intel. That would make far more sense than relying on IBM who is producing the chips primarily for its own use. Should it decide to change course, Apple would be screwed.
