What's the best way to separate the glass bulb of a lampbulb from
its socket? I want to make use of the glass bulb as containers
for small house plants.
I've heard of wrapping chalk-line around the base, soaking in
methylated spirits and firing for ten seconds then plunging into
cold water to produce a stress-crack.
Thanks for any hints, suggestions or tips.
