Little known information follows...

Using one of the Office type Windows programs (where you can have a 
toolbar on top all the time) you can set the toolbar buttons to jobs 
rather than run programs.

In your business there are jobs that involve you and/or your 
staff making decisions. Making these decisions will require 
having some information. Based on these decisions you will need to run 
various programs. You can have the information in the same place as 
the command to do the action. 

An Example Will Help Explain What I Mean:
The phone rings, you click on the PhoneRings button on the toolbar. 
You have a quiz on your screen with the following questions:
 1. Is the caller HOSTILE?
 2. Does the caller want to place an order?
 3. Is the caller trying to collect money you owe?
Each of these questions, because they are a WinHelp file have 
hypertext jumps to either more decisions, some information that you 
may need at this point, or a ExecProgram command to start a program 
eg. Notepad.exe pricelst.txt. This would run the notepad program and 
load a file into it that had the latest copy of the price list in it.

The toolbar would be setup with the command line:
winhelp.exe myfile.hlp
or
winhelp.exe -n 9999 myfile.hlp to go to a particular part of the help 
file.

Specialist editors exist that can turn your text (and your bright 
ideas) into a WinHelp file quickly and easily. The fact that I am one 
means I know that it can be done AND I think it should be more widely 
known that it can be done...
