From: "Robert A. G. Seely"
Sad to report - this isn't it (for me at least). I am already using code
page 437 (as reported by graftabl), and to be sure I used the chcp command
below anyway. I was already using Lucida fonts, but I checked the system
raster fonts too - still no boxes. (And I use 4NT - wonderful product -
having got addicted to 4DOS, that was a natural...) So: thanks for the
explicit instructions, I only wish that had solved my problem...
But this is indeed strange - I have no boxes, in full screen mode or
windowed, and yet others report (1) boxes all the time, (2) only full
screen, (3) only with certain fonts specified for console sessions, and (4)
no boxes (like me). Something is going on here, but what?!?!... (For the
record, I'll repeat: I get boxes just fine under tse2.0, but not tse2.8.
The former is of course 16bit, the latter 32bit. Both running under the
same command session (actually, usually 4NT, though I do test this under CMD
too.) So this does seem to involve tse2.8 itself (unless some config
setting somewhere is "invisible" to the 16bit tse 2.0, and not to the 32 bit
tse 2.8).

] Here's what I found out:
]
] 1) start a command prompt
] 2) enter CHCP 437 (*)
] 3) start TSE32
] now... you can again see boxes... when you're in full screen mode :-(.
]
] The NT help states that you can also switch code pages when you're
] command prompt runs windowed, but only if you use true type fonts.
] Well, this did work for me with Lucida Console... but only when using
] 12x20. All the other resolution just didn't cooperate :-(.
]
] I will do some more research work, but I can't tell you more right now,
] because I'm using Win95 at my PC at home which is a completely different
] story.

] (*) If you're using 4NT you can put this command into 4START.BTM.
