K5BSS (Dan Gridley) here in Tulsa had one he bought new. Sold it locally
to K5LAD in 1981 or so. K5LAD (Jim Ladd) may still have it. Jim was for
several years in the retail ham biz in Broken Arrow, a "bedroom"
community next to Tulsa. Store was called Derrick Electronics, a
reference to our local economy, not his name. He finally gave up to the
800 WATS sellers in about '83 or so. A shame for us locals. Now we don't
even have a single ham store in the entire state.
