From: "Frank Haber" You know, I remember getting white-hot mad about that article. I yelled at the wall, "Negroponte/Macluhan bullshit is TAKING OVER THE WORLD." Digital chip design has devoted a lot of effort to make a fundamentally analog process act as though it contains flips and flops only. It's easy to go all loosy-goosy and gaga over what happens when you mess up. Entropy will dictate that as you loosen controls, you will get some kind of near-amorphous "thing" that might act like some kind of matrix. At some future point of devolution, the circuit will look like poached eggs on toast points. Would you want to eat it? Good luck controlling wafer production with these marijuana-smoke constraints (spits). I think I'm going to start a cargo cult that worships leaky, unstable reject chips. Please bow down and send me money. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
