From: Robert Bononno Hi Gene, There has been speculation about OS X on Intel for a long time, but it is just that, speculation. Apple's plans for 64-bit development involve PPC, AFAIK. I'm not saying it's out of the question but PPC chips seem to have certain advantages for Apple (I believe they run much cooler and consume less power). Also, at this point, Apple isn't interested in just making software for the x86 market. They want to stick to hardware and right now that means PowerPC.
