On an IBM RS/6000, a flashing "888" on the front LED panel is
something you *don't* want to see - the "crazy eights" indicate
*seriously* bad karma for the Unix workstation.
So what did we do? We wrote a cron job to periodically flash
"888" on the front of the machine. :-)
