There are lots of complexities in networks, but it is a digital system designed to (mostly) work. OTOH next week's weather involves chaotic processes: There is no guiding principle encouraging a particular outcome. The result in a particular place and time is highly dependent on a vast number of contributing factors. It is believed (with good reason) that precise, localised predictions of next week's weather are chaotic in the sense that tiny events (the proverbial butterfly) could influence the outcome, and without resorting to the X-Files, we can't make all the required measurements, let alone the calculations. > ...
