Hello all,
Good news from a far ....
"We're all fine. Grem is not plucking as much now, Pax broke a blood
feather, but the vet and I got it all taken care of, Phoenix is the gentleman
of the lot, but you got to keep an eye on him or else he will chew the RV
trim." said Reginald.
I had a pleasurable 1/2 hour phone call with Reg this afternoon. He's been
in Casper, Wyoming for two weeks now after spending nearly 4 months in
Washington state. His phone (307-235-1879) is piped into his RV.
For those of you who have not met Reg Atkins, he's a militant animal rights
advocate. His birds are his first priority. He left Virginia job seeking
all the way to Washington State, with his birds packed in his RV. I first
Reg here and then later in person at MARE in Buffalo, NY a year ago. Reg is
a selflessness person whom I would want on my side in a bar room fight.
"Not much work in Casper neither." He likes it in there because of the
openness and natural beauty of the plains, mountains. No trees ... sigh ...
except for some pines in the mountains.
"We're having a little trouble getting this computer set up to get on the net
(FIDO Parrots)."
In general, I would assess Reg as happy, content (though still has his usual
complaint about animal and ecology abusers) and is in "fine" health. He did
cough some, but he attributed that to the (feather?) dust from vacuuming his
RV.
He did seem wanting to talk a lot ... the solitude of traveling alone is
getting to him I suspect so if you choose to call Reg, be prepared for him to
talk your ear off!
Just thought that you would be interested in the happenings and whereabouts
of a fellow FIDO Parroter.
