| subject: | is this a bug? |
TY> Ooh, actually, that's a good idea. g00r00, would you be able to get an TY> actual bug report form going on mysticbbs.com? Or the wiki? Would TY> probably make it a lot easier for you to have everything collated in one TY> area. I had one on SourceForge in the past and I had a love hate releationship with it. It was nice to have a centralized spot to report things, but not everyone used it so I still had to answer the same questions here and on the bug site. I also had multiple occasions where someone didn't like my explaination or reasoning for closing a bug report, so as part of their temper tantrum they would spam the site with duplicate bug reports, and I would have to clean it all up. Often times people wouldn't check the open bugs first and would unintentionally report the same bugs over and over and I have to spend time managing and commenting on all of them. When it was going smoothly though, it was beneficial to have. Keeping up with the 60-100+ messages a day can be pretty time consuming on its own, and I am already spending way more time talking about Mystic than I am working on it these days. I'm not sure if a bug database would be a benefit or just another thing that pulls me away from actual development time. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A20 (Windows)* Origin: Sector 7 [Mystic BBS WHQ] (1:129/215) SEEN-BY: 203/0 633/267 280 640/384 1384 712/620 848 770/1 @PATH: 129/215 154/10 203/0 640/384 712/848 633/267 |
