| subject: | WATCOM is ? |
Sorry for the cryptic subject but I thought it might serve as a good tag
for this thread once people know what it's about...
I've just noticed that WATCOM appears to append an .HPP extension to the
name of a header file when searching the set of headers. I recently
began using header files with names like and . I have a
program that does an "#include " for one of these
new headers.
WATCOM found its own file instead of my file
(which came later in the path). This, of course, led to errors.
Is this acceptable behaviour for a C++ compiler, especially when it is
(apparently) undocumented? The docs that describe header file
processing make no mention of this substitution.
Is there any way to disable this default .HPP extension processing? I
can't find a documented command line option that deals with this.
Are my only options (a) put my own header files before WATCOM's in the
INCLUDE path, or (b) rename my files to have an explicit extension?
