I'm unusual in my reactions to antihistamines.  The cheapest ones work well
for me, with no sleepiness and maybe just a little off the edge in reaction
time.  I don't drive often, so there you go.

I took the ancient Tripelennamine for years, then switched to plain old
Chlortrimeton/chlorpheniramine, 4mg.  This costs me $4/100, so I don't
really care whether it's covered or not.

I haven't tried Allegra, but Clarinex (time-release) made me feel weird and
didn't do much for my nose.
