You are supposed to get a lot of "trash" after initiating a
PPP session.  What you do next is very important.  If
you're using WinNT and the WinNT dialer you have to hit the
DONE button.  If you're using Win95 I'm not sure.  If
you're using OS/2 you shouldn't have to do anything but
wait.
What dialer and what operating system are you using?
