Either you have one heck of a drill or drilling a lot
of holes. I use a 1500W tank heater on the horse
trough when I get tired of hacking holes in the pond.
The 100' cord I use doesn't get that warm. Of course
the fact that the air temp is around 10 degrees could
have something to do with that.

Hummmm... That could be interesting. Have an O2 and a
temp sensor to regulate a forced air intake. A heat
exchanger with a CO detector that could set off an
alarm or even automatically force fresh air into the
house. Plus dozens of other things a person could come
up with.
