It is the latest attempt by Christian fundamentalist to justify their beliefs using "science." I believe it is called "creation science." The argument assumes that since certain scientific laws are required to support human life, only a god could have devised exactly those laws. A phony argument in that the alleged laws supporting human life are only that set of laws capable of doing so and ignores entirely the possibility of an infinite number of possible sets any one of which could well have produced life different from the life our particular set of laws produced. The flaw in the basic premise is that human life as we know it is the best of all possible life forms because, naturally enough to religious types, that form was created by god. Therefore to produce that form there had to be a superior intelligence involved, god. Not only is the argument unscientific but also illogical given its circular nature. At that it is a very old argument. Thomas of Aquinas made much the same argument.
