Thanks for that info. I'm not worried about "authenticity" at all, but I
want the cable to look neat. I could botch up some 2 core wire with
chocolate block, but it wouldn't be very elegant! Best idea so far has been
to buy a replacement "Y" cable for modern 'phones and adapt that. Probably
not cost effective but hopefully with copious use of heat-shrink it would
look OK.
