The only country with a veto which veto'ed things to do with the UN mission
in Lebanon is the US. The Israelis did not want any sort of force which
might be sufficiently robust as to in any way deter Israel from advancing
north if it wanted nor that it should in anyway help protect the
territorial sovereignty of Lebanon (e.g equipped with SAM's).

But hey it is very funny watching someone who one assumes isn't a
"hate america firster" effectively dissing the US & it's
actions out of near total ignorance.

BTW just to lift some bizarre misaprehension on your part wrt pensions etc,
these observers are simply troops from a given nation you do this as a tour
of duty. maybe they're Indian, maybe they're Fijian, maybe they're
Brazilians etc.
