I'm not sure I spent any more time with my parents than kids do nowadays though, but it was different types of time. We sat at the same table to eat and in the same room to watch TV, but I went to school on the other side of the city, catching a bus through the city centre every day. So I got to socialise with parents and learn to handle the big bad city on my own. I get the idea that a lot of time parents spend with kids now is driving them to school and back, and when they get home the kids vanish into their own rooms with their own TVs and computers. You see the quality vs. quantity argument I'm making? -- Tony > For that matter, it was still > different when Phil's children, at least, were young.
