I'm not sure whether or not to envy your husband. My fuzzy
girl, Meko, won't have anything to do with me when I'm sitting
down, and rarely comes onto the bed whether I'm there or not.
(Of course, she has her own bed in another room. And I don't
mean a cat-bed either -- a twin-size bed in a corner, with
views out two windows!)

No question about it -- cats are _not_ intimidated by sheer
size. In fact, when we go to the vet's, Meko avoids small
dogs like the plague but strains to get closer to large dogs
in the waiting room, purring all the while.

I'm sure Lady will eventually learn to accept Buttons'
affections with good grace, although it may take Buttons
longer to train her than it took to train the humans in the
household.
