I want to get one of those! Meko accepts her enclosed carrier
well enough (once she's actually inside it, at least), but she
really prefers to look out -- in fact, she prefers to ride on
the back of the driver's seat, which isn't safe for her, me, or
anyone else in traffic. After a few minutes (parked, of
course) of pacing along the seatback so she can see out both
sides of the car, she'll usually settle for standing on the
back seat directly behind me and looking out the window; but
even that isn't very safe for her if I have to hit the brakes
suddenly.
CM> Missy's shy, so I usually cover the case with my raincoat once I get
CM> it inside the vet's reception room.
Meko is generally shy around strangers, but she's quite
comfortable at the vet's...or maybe she's just so happy to
get out of the carrier that she's ready to be friendly with
anyone on two (or four) legs. Of course, she's also in my
arms at the vet's, so perhaps she feels safer...but that
wouldn't explain why she wants to be friends with the big dogs
there. (Never the small dogs, just those that are at least
40 pounds.)
CM> And yes, she's also very eager to get back into the case as soon as
CM> possible!
Not my furry child! She'd rather stand on the receptionist's
counter and let everyone in the office make a fuss over her.
(I usually give her a few minutes to soak up all this
attention, for purely selfish reasons -- the attention-givers
are almost always females of _my_ species.)
