As mentioned, PM123 usually works OK here as a helper with Firefox - I
won't use Z!.

I have two mimetypes defined which use PM123:

mimetype audio/x-mpegurl
description mp3 playlist
extension m3u
open with d:\pm123\pm123.exe

mimetype audio/x-scpls
description Shoutcast playlist
extension pls
open with d:\pm123\pm123.exe

When I click on a station on the Shoutcast site, the browser /usually/
pops up the download manager to show that it has downloaded the
playlist. PM123 loads and, after a short time for buffering, begins to
play. I say /usually/ because sometimes it doesn't work - no download
takes place. It seems that the link on the web site /must/ resolve to a
playlist (normally type pls) for this to work. Also, all the dlls
required by PM123 must be on the LIBPATH as described in the PM123
documentation:

"NOTE: Netscape Navigator 4.x and Mozilla do not switch the session's
path to the EXE's path. Therefore, PM123 will not be able to find
gbm123.dll and other DLLs installed by default in the PM123's directory.
You will have to start PM123 in advance (thus preloading all needed
DLLs) or you will have to add PM123's path to your LIBPATH CONFIG.SYS."
