No, in the matter we are speaking about (have a look at the "re" and the 
earlier messages please) the wierd floppy drive letter comes before the 
CD drive. Meaning, after a double click onto "refresh removable media" 
we get for instance:

- a ghost floppy drive station J:
- the USB stick removable drive station   K:
- whereas the first CD stations is P: as "reservedriveletter=" had/has 
been set to O:

Do have a look at the earlier messages please.

To get effectively  rid of the gost floppy drive, you could rem out
BASEDEV=IBM1Flpy.ADD, but then the snag is you don't have floppy drive
support.
Incidentally, tht's the reason why I don't have the ghost floppy at my
laptop. No such a thing as a floppy drive there, so I'd remmed out 
the entry BASEDEV=IBM1Flpy.ADD
