I agree the Republican party leadership in congress craped out and should
all be fired.  I agree with several of your points about what they did
wrong.  Their wrong doing started with the coup against Newt Gingrich. 
That was the start of all the ills you complain about.  However, despite
all of those wrongs, it could be (not yet certain but could be if Bush and
the Congress pass comprehensive immigration reform) that Bush II will do an
even better job of destroying the republican party than his father did, and
his father, like I said, left the party in tatters worse off than before
Reagan came into power and rebuilt the party.
