This is fascinating for me - a puzzled part-time viewer of US PBS TV.

Briefly, what is your problem with "immigration reform"?

I understand that some people who object to "reform" hate the
idea of rewarding illegal behaviour. Is that really what they believe? Or
do they hate the idea of 12 million hispanics + extended families joining
the US, but feel it's a bit un-PC to say so?

I'm really not trolling here! Honestly, I can't understand the objections.

In fairness, I must admit that I would be unhappy with the prospect of 12
million unscreened people getting citizenship. I would be worried about
disease and maybe other stuff. But not having reform doesn't resolve that.
