As much as you'd like to lay all the blame on Bush, you can't.  The entire
leadership of the GOP deserves blame for the near-destruction of their
party.

And as much as you guys are hoping for rescue by deus ex machina in the
body of Newt, remember this: he's as hypocritical as any of the current
crop of GOP leadership.  His only support in a national election will come
from the ~30% of the electorate that constitutes the GOP base.
