There's a nice toy that handles that -- it PGPs an entire partition.
There's a TSR in place -- you 'log in' to the drive with the password,
and the TSR encrypts/decrypts on the fly. W/out the password, the TSR
triggers one of the error messages -- it tells you your hard drive door
is open. <:
