No, no, that's not right. Shut off one supply of a product, and the
demand for the product outstrips the supply. _ALL_ sugar prices will
go up - cane, beet, corn fructose, etc. Be clear, and understand,
ALL consumers will be affected, negatively.
Now, perhaps it's still a good idea! :) See, I'm not for wrecking
the enviornment. If sugar growing/processing is causing a problem,
the problem should be fixed. I agree with you there.
But you do have to be honest with people, or they will never, ever
trust you again - harm the current sugar processing in one region,
and you will cause the price of sugar to rise all over. You've got
to be honest, and tell folks the truth.
