        You are using lantastic? in dos version (6.00 or newer) you have net 
ping that shows the list of active stations, an idea could be execute that 
command from your clipper ap and redirect the output to a file, then look the 
file. I know that's not elegant but I think that could work and be more 
faster than your solution.
