I do support Newt. I think he's brilliant as a thinker and political
philosopher. He just wouldn't be my first choice for President, but out of
the current crop of candidates he could be. If he were to run I would be
concerned that the Clinton spin machine so demonized him so completely from
1994 to 1998, spending about $60 Million dollars in negative ads and
placements about Newt, that he has been too damaged to be electable. I
also don't have a feel for how good a manager/executive he would be which
is important for a President. Sometimes the brilliant idea men and
philosophers are best left to coming up with ideas and philosophies rather
than having a hands on executory role in things.
