Naturally I disagree.  When old man Bush left office the Republicans and
lost all power in the congress and was in worse shape power wise than
before Reagan built the party up.  He completely destroyed the Reagan
legacy of leadership he inherited.  It took the miracle of Hillary Care for
the country to wake up to the prospects of democratic control of Congress,
but for Hillary Care and the socialist policies of the Clinton
administration in its first 2 years the republicans may have never regained
control of Congress.  It appears to be quite possible that Bush II will out
do his father in the destruction of the Republican party and permanently
transform it into a minority bit as a result of its base abandoning the
party in droves.

I really don't understand how you can make the statement below or on what
basis or facts you deduce such a statement is correct.
