It's simple.  While W is indeed an abomination, the Republican Congress was
just as bad.

They swept to power promising to clean up Beltway (read, Democratic)
corruption.  Instead they raised it to an art form.

They were elected on promises to restrain the growth of federal spending
and the federal government.  Instead they spent like drunken sailors and
grew the government.

They promised to run the country like a business.  Well, that's one promise
they kept.  Republicans in Congress ran the country like Kenny-boy and
friends ran Enron.
