It's really easy to solve all these problems. It should be a public project
where ALL the identity information is available not only to DHS but to the
public as well. The public has the same need to identify people, business
needs, personal needs, etc. So an Identity plan should allow full access by
the public to search and retrieve all the data stored in the system.
This would guarantee that privacy issues would be fixed, that information
is accurate, and that the system can be used to "watch the
watchers" as well (the mission creep issue).
I mean what the hell, it's going to be paid for by the public, we should
benefit from it as well.
