As Gary said, everyone has their personal failings, that's all this story
(if true) points out.
I guess by American standards I'm a liberal guy but "despite"
that I find Gingrich a fascinating person and well worth listening to. I
first became attuned to this a few years ago when The New Yorker (of all
places, being a liberal magazine!) ran a very long profile of him which
portrayed him as a sophticated thinker and a real student of history. That
profile really changed my impression of him from a media caricature to
someone whose ideas are definitely worth listening to, even if you disagree
with them.
