We often Bob, if not always, disagree about the methods and programs to
forward the ideals of the United States, but we always agree that we should
be searching for the better good for ourselves and the world.

I caught Thomas Sowell on TV earlier today and don't remember the overall
gist of the interview, but his basic tenant was the politicians have gotten
to the point where they don't give a shit about the future, as long as it
happens/can be blamed on the other guy's watch after an election. He's got
that right, sadly
