Hi Dal,
DJ>RL> I have a job interview next week for a grade 5/6 position. I
DJ>Good luck! Sometimes a change of scenery is good!
Sorry, to say that I did not get the job. I was a little annoyed with
the Principal's mode of letting me know this.
I had applied first by sending a formal resume package, references and
covering letter included. I also sent him an email, since he had
advertised the position on the Board of Ed's BBS. I then had the
interview the following week.
He was supposed to let me know the next day and I had notified him of
the school I was at - he already had my home phone number.
Well, by the time I left the school at 6:30, I still had not heard from
him. I came home to find no message at home - so thought he would be
phoning me later. I logged on to my BBS to find an email from him saying
I hadn't got the job...a bit impersonal I thought. :( I had wanted to
ask him a couple of questions and didn't get the chance. I even e-mailed
one or two but he never replied. :(
I am not so disappointed about getting the job as in the latter. I know
I really "belong" in a primary/special ed. classroom - these are the
places where I get other teachers, teachers aides going down to the
Principal with very positive comments. :)
I hope something more appropriate comes along soon.
                        Thanks for the well wishes.....Ruth
