I'm not condoning Alomar's actions but I did see a recent article on the 
incident that talked about a similar incident (incidents) relating to Ted 
Williams. Ted didn't spit on an ump but he did spew toward a group of fans 
and said that he'd do it again. What Alomar did was wrong (as was the actions 
of the vultures who HAD to get a response to his quotes) and he deserves to 
be punished.
