My mistake. I didn't notice you are using CDRW CDs and not CDR
CDs. Tom is correct, you would not want to 'close' a CDRW
although I would think you could and still rewrite it later?
Not being 'closed' means it requires the same software that
wrote it for you to read it on another machine but being a CDRW
they often won't read even when you do have the same software
installed.

To use CDs on mulitple machines CDR is _almost_ always going to
work if you remember to write the TOC (close them). CDRW I am
told is not as flexible for multiple machines with different
readers.
