subject: error correction

Hello Paul!

On 16 Apr 94, you said to Geoff Armstrong:

PE> Are you sure your Telecom modem doesn't have any error-correction,
PE> like not even MNP4? I didn't think they made 9600 bps modems without
PE> error correction. BFN.

Yes, this modem has MNP2-5.

BTW: I think (again!) I might have the send CRC's fixed. I found in the X00
docs (thanx Rod) that if I say to X00 in its initialization string to lock
the rate, it'll use CTS/RTS. I've done this now and my files seem to go ok.
I know I've said that before, so I'll guess we'll just wait and see...

Sea Ewes are round!
Geoff.
