Actually, XML (or HRN or whatever other format) will eventually replace SLF
(the current format) on those systems that can handle it/want it - running
in parallel is only necessary while the tools are new and 100% redundancy
is requred.
But like I said, systems that run on XML will emit SLF nodelists for
whoever needs them - that conversion is a simple one.
