That sound serious. I suggest reintalling your mouse software. If that does
not fix the problem, you may have a virus, either the dead or alive kind.
Run your virus checker. If you don't have one, get one.

Or you may simply need a new mouse, although I have never heard of a mouse
behaving in that fashion when failing.
